The Museum will be dressed for the holidays. Join the sing-along with a medley of seasonal tunes with Kenneth Gartman at the 1930 Sohmer piano. The Elder Flowers photography exhibition is on view with artist j. maya luz on hand to talk about the art.
Enjoy hot cider and a cookie sampler. Make & take a seasonal pin for your coat. And, there’s a holiday gift sale with a selection of small gifts, plants, and our 2025 honey. You can make a seasonal pin to adorn your coat for the season.
Voelker Orth is one of five Historic Homes on the Annual Holly Tour in Flushing: joining the Bowne House, Kingsland Homestead, the Lewis Latimer House, and the Friends Meeting House for a memorable afternoon. It’s a walkable tour—but you can hop on the holiday trolley to travel among the sites. For a Holly Tour pass, contact the Queens Historical Society, www.queenshistoricalsociety.org to purchase a $25 pass that covers all sites and the trolley. Members & children’s passes discounted.
If you want to skip the tour and spend a relaxing time at the Museum,admission for the afternoon: $10/ $8 members.
Printing with Gelli Plates

There are two new sessions to explore gelli plate print-making this winter. You can sign up for one or both as there’s much to explore.
Learn a variety of monoprint techniques including stenciling. This fun-filled medium is fast moving and full of surprise4s. Gelli prints are used for wall hung art, artist’s books, cards, collages and scrapbooking.
