The garden offers a quiet respite and is open free of charge. There are plantings to enjoy year-round. The garden is open weekdays during our regular office hours (10-4) and on Sundays from noon- 4pm. These are times when staff is available on premises as needed.  Visitors are welcome to sit or stroll at these open times.

Donations are appreciated. Children must be accompanied by adults in the garden and at our programs.

House-tours are generally offered on a drop-in basis Sunday & Wednesday, from 1-4pm and by appointment. We welcome group tours by appointment.

On these open days, guided tours of our period rooms are offered for up to fifteen people at a time. Suggested donation $5. The minimum fee for a group visit is $40.

The grounds and Museum’s first floor are wheelchair accessible.

The Museum is closed for tours on Easter Sunday (April 20), Memorial Day Weekend (May 25-27), July 4th, Labor Day Weekend (Aug. 31 - Sept. 2), Thanksgiving weekend (Sun Nov 30) Christmas & New Year.

There are no house tours from December 24-31, 2025. From January 4- February 11 tour days only on Sundays.
