Fascinated with ideas of ethnography, Rachelle Mozman’s evocative staged photographs draw on her family history to make work that speaks to identity. She often engages her mother as a character in her images. Mozman is a Fulbright Fellow, and has exhibited at museums and galleries in the U.S., Latin America and Europe.
She has used the period rooms at the Voelker Orth as the setting for a number of her images.
House tours are available on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., except on noted holidays.
As the Museum is located in a 1890s house with a number of small rooms, we ask that groups interested in taking a tour contact us in advance to better accommodate all visitors. The standard house tour runs 20-30 minutes.
The ground floor of the house is physically accessible. Children must be accompanied by adults.
Suggested donation $2.
No tours on November 27th through December 4th, and December 25th through January 5th.
